Speaker Wade Mark on Friday advised the House of Representatives that he has approved an additional 42 days medical leave for former prime minister Patrick Manning. His leave expired this week.
Manning suffered a stroke in January last year and has not attended Parliament since then.
Last week Manning went for on a walkabout in Port of Spain, the day after there were rumours that he had died. He told reporters he was well and "still standing".
