Director of Public Prosecutions Roger Gaspard on Thursday instructed that the driver of the vehicle that killed a woman and her two children be charged with three offences of causing death by dangerous driving.
An off-duty police officer's vehicle struck and killed 28-year-old Haydee Paul, and her daughters, Akasha and Shakira, seven, on February 24. Three others were injured.
The three victims were on their way home from the Central Market when the vehicle crashed into them.
The deaths sparked series of protests by residents of Sea Lots, which included a blockade of the highway.
