Police Constable Sherwin Legere, 37, appeared in court Friday on four charges relating to an accident in Sea Lots that killed a woman and her two young daughters on February 24 this year.
Legere lives at Bagna Trace, Chase Village, Chaguanas.
Legere was driving the vehicle that struck Haydee Paul and her daughters Akasha and Shakira. All three of them died on the spot.
A justice of the peace set bail at $250,000 bail and the presiding magistrate, Marcia Ayers-Caesar, ordered that Legere surrender his passport and report to the Freeport Police Station every Thursday for the duration of the trial. Legere will be back in court on May 22.
