American airlines cancels 2 flights; CAL operating with regular schedule

American Airlines on Monday cancelled its flight from Miami to Piarco International Airport that was scheduled to land at 11:30 pm because of the curfew that was in effect from 9 pm to 5 am.

It also cancelled Tuesday's early morning flight to Miami because of the unavailablity of the aircraft for the turnaround flight.

The online airport information shows three departures from Miami to Port of Spain on Tuesday:

AMERICAN AIRLINES 1647 leaving Miami at 9:45 am
CARIBBEAN AIRLINES 483 leaving Miami at 3:00 pm
AMERICAN AIRLINES 1819 leaving Miami at 7:25 pm

AA 1818 is the flight that was cancelled Monday night.

State owned Caribbean Airlines (CAL) is continuing operate its regular schedule but has advised all travelers to carry at least two pieces of identification along with their travel itinerary.

CAL has also asked customers should check its website (www.caribbean-airlines.com) for regular updates.
