Former minister of Social Development Dr Amery Browne and members of the opposition PNM along with other activists added their voices Monday to condemn the killing of Daniel Guerra of gasparillo.
Browne was part of a small group of placard-bearing social activists in a demonstration at the Queen’s Park Savannah.
“Clearly we are not doing enough," he told reporters. “None of us is doing enough and if a child in our neighbourhood could be walking unattended and people observing that fact and not doing anything about it...it tells me that we are in some ways still asleep in T&T when it comes to safety of children.”
Acting chairman of the Jericho Project, Phillip Edward Alexander, said the group would continue its action until Friday. “This is another lost innocent that should not have occurred.
"We...literally dropped everything we were doing to come here to raise awareness especially in this Carnival time,” Alexander told the Guardian newspaper.

Dr Browne certainly did not lead any of us.
Lead us where?
He stood with us as upset as we were over this little boy's murder.
