Keeping check - murder toll reaches 70

Seventy people have been killed in Trinidad and Tobago in the 52 days since the start of the year. Nine people were murdered over the weekend. The latest victims have been identified as:

1. Vincent Powell, 41, of Jamaica
2. Shermaike Hamlet, 19
3. Andre “Fly” Lewis, 28
4. Vishnu Latchman, 55, of Tunapuna
5. Robert Khan, 35, of Moruga
6. Jevon Cox, 17, of Trou Macaque, Laventille
7. Daniel Guerra, 8, of Gasparillo
8. Raseek Khan, 73, of Gasparillo
9. Brent Tribuce, 29, of San Juan.
