Bharath off to Guyana for trade talks

Trade Minister Vasant Bharath leaves for Guyana on Thursday to attend the 37th Ministerial Meeting of the Council for Trade and Economic Development (COTED), CARICOM. The Ministerial Meeting is scheduled for Friday November 8, 2013.Some of the issues to be discussed at this meeting include:

1. External Economic and Trade Relations
2. Developments Related to the Negotiations for a CARICOM-Canada Trade and Development Agreement
3. Status of Implementation of the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA)
4. Approval of the Partial Scope Trade Agreement between Trinidad and Tobago and Guatemala
5. Trade in Goods

A release from the trade ministry says Bharath is expected to lead the discussions on "Approval of the Partial Scope Trade Agreement between Trinidad and Tobago and Guatemala".
