Six candidates have been nominated to contest the Chaguanas West byelection on July 29. They are:
- Khadijah Ameen (United National Congress)
- Dr Kirk Meighoo (Democratic National Assembly)
- Oliver Norman (National Coalition for Transformation)
- Ishmael Samad (Party for Integrity and Morality in Politics)
- Avinash Singh (People’s National Movement)
- Jack Warner (Independent Liberal Party)
