Dog owners and dog lovers gathered in Port of Spain Sunday in a protest to demand the repeal of the Dangerous Dogs Act, which targets one breed of dogs - pitbulls. They say the act is flawed and needs urgent review since it is not relevant to Trinidad & Tobago.
Acting Attorney General Dr Roodal Moonilal suggested that although the law has already been passed and proclaimed, the group should formally write the Attorney General and outline their concerns.
"We will ensure dialogue because there is always the possibility of amendments," Moonilal told the Express newspaper.
