It won the World Travel Award for the Caribbean’s Leading Hotel at a ceremony in Jamaica. The awards, described by the Wall Street Journal as the “Oscars” of the global travel and tourism industry, revealed who are the “best-of-the-best” in the region.

The owner of Coco Reef Resorts Ltd is Bermudian hotelier John Jefferis. He said, “I am extremely proud to have received this award again, on behalf of Coco Reef – Tobago.

Jefferis developed the Coco Reef Resort in Tobago 12 years ago. The property which has 140 rooms, villas and suites is situated on its own private beach, in 10 acres of beautifully manicured tropical gardens.
It also caters for the rich and famous with its exquisite US$2,000 per night Sunset Villa at Coco Reef, with has marble bathrooms and 24 karat gold fittings.
Caribbean Airlines was handed the award for the Caribbean’s Leading Airline.
