Kenny Da Silva returns as chairman of NCC

Minister of Multiculturalism Winston "Gypsy" Peters on Thursday installed the new board of the National Carnival Commission (NCC) headed by Kenny Da Silva, who had served in the position during the Manning PNM administration.

UNC activist and executive member of the United National Congress (UNC) Don Sylvester is the deputy chairman.

Speaking at the installation at the La Boucan restaurant of the Trinidad Hilton De Silva said "Carnival is the People's festival" and pledged to leave no stone unturned to ensure that Carnival 2011 is the best ever. 

Minister Peters said he has no doubt that Da Silva and the new board will deliver.
