Jack Warner wrote the chairman of the UNC's elections committee Friday asking Kemchan Ramdath about reports of a lack of a polling station in Tobago for Sunday's internal election and asking for arrangements to be made for members in Tobago to vote.
He noted that according to media reports Tobago has about 1500 UNC members who have been asked to travel to Trinidad to vote in the election.

"If we profess to be a national Party then we must make provisions for our members in Tobago as we make for other constituencies in Trinidad," Warner wrote.
He added, "In this regard, therefore, I do wish to advise that I have obtained a venue in Tobago where a polling box can be placed.
He said the venue is at the TLH Building ,next to Rena's roti shop, on Lower Milford Road in Scarborough.
He offered to pay the costs associated with securing the venue for the election and said he is waiting to hear from Ramdath on the matter since it is in the national interest.
The letter has been copied to Fazal Karim, general secretary of the UNC.

Good for Mr. Warner. It is absolutely unthinkable and antithetical to all things democratic to conceive of not having a polling station in Tobago. Seems like the UNC elite are working hard to drive away support.
