She welcomed the Baroness and her husband, Keith Taylor, just before they left for Piarco International Airport at the end of a two-day tour to promote Global Entrepreneurism Week. The visit was facilitated by the British High Commission in Trinidad & Tobago.
Persad-Bissessar presented the Baroness with a painting of a scene in the Queens Park Savannah and also expressed appreciation for the lady's continued interest in Trinidad and Tobago. She thanked the Baroness for her valuable work with young people.
The Baroness was born in Point-a-Pierre and emigrated to the United Kingdom in 1960. She has distinguished herself as a television presenter, a writer, a businesswoman. She became a peer in the House of Lords in 2010.
