Photo story: All's well that ends well - Errol welcomes James

Welcome aboard, comrade!
Never mind Labour Minister Errol McLeod called James Lambert a fool. McLeod was the first to shake hands with the new government Senator Friday and welcome him as one of the new government senators.

The head of the National Union of Government and Federated Workers, who is a member of the United National Congress (UNC) is now occupying the seat in the upper House vacated by David Abdulah.

McLeod and Lambert had some major disagreement recently over labour issues and the Labour Minister called Lambert “an irrevocable fool.” But both men know that emotions run high at times and now they have buried the hatchet and plan to work together for the common good with the focus on the big picture of ensuring that the government's labour policies are carried forward.

Lambert first served as a government senator in the Panday administration in 2001.
