Speaker's wife appointed to chair T&TEC board

Sushilla Ramkissoon-Mark is the new chair person of the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (TTEC). She succeeds Omar Khan, who resigned recently.

Ramkissoon-Mark is the wife of Speaker of the House of Representatives Wade Mark.

Cabinet approved the appointment at its meeting last Thursday, local media reported, citing senior government officials.

Public Utilities Minister Emmanuel George confirmed the appointment. Ramkissoon-Mark was the board's deputy chair.
