Health Minister Dr. Fuad Khan met on Tuesday with officials of the North West Regional Health Authority (NWRHA), doctors at the St Ann's Hospital, and others involved in the Cheryl Miller case.
Miller was sent to the St Ann's hospital from her workplace last month for a psychiatric evaluation. On Friday a judge ordered her temporary release from the institution.
In a statement at the end of the talks the minister issued a media release giving the assurance that the ministry and its health professionals would conduct their business in a transparent, caring and professional manner.
"The Minister would like to assure the public that its health officers are very conscious of all clinical protocols and carry out their duties in a professional and caring manner.

"In this regard, Minister Khan remains confident that officers will do all within their professional responsbility to respond to all members of the general public in a caring and timely manner.
