Words cannot begin to express how I feel on learning that Mr Basdeo Panday has opted to “advise” a slate of candidates at the UNC’s internal election in March.
It is without a doubt that he is a respectable politician in our country but I honestly think that he needs to sit back and give Kamla a chance.
The woman is doing so much good for the country and party alike but yet everyone looks for the smallest thing to criticise.

On January 24, 2010, the people of the UNC democratically elected Mrs Kamla Persad-Bissessar to lead the party and she has been doing a fine job at that since then. Is Panday still bitter about his resounding cut-tail?
This campaign they have launched has been appropriately named “Take back the UNC” because it will do just that, take back the UNC to opposition!
Panday needs to collect his pension and relax a little. He has done enough for the country and party and we are thankful but give the woman a chance, she has a good grip on things.
