Christmas Road Safety tips from T&T's Transport Commissioner

ROAD SAFETY FOR CHRISTMAS

• DO leave home well in advance to reach your destination on time 
• DO have a designated driver as you partake of all there is to enjoy at your various events 
• DO get some rest, a fatigued driver is a dangerous driver 
• DO obey the Highway Code 
• DO remember that the shoulder is for emergency use ONLY 
• DO use reflective/light-coloured clothing if you are a pedestrian at night 

These simple tips have been provided to ensure that, at the end of it all, we return to our loved ones and are able to greet 2012 in the best of health.
