Photo story: Hindu organisation presents $20,000 to PM for Children's Life Fund

Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar Prime Minister on Friday received a delegation from the Arya Pratinidhi Sabha (APS) of Trinidad and Tobago, which presented her with a cheque for $20,000 for the Children's Life Fund.

The representatives of the group included:

• Balram Ramdial, Senior Vice President of the APS Secretary of the school board of Management
• Mangaroo Ramphal Secretary of the APS
• Pundita Dr. Indrani Rampersad, Executive member of the APS
• Two Standard 5 students students of the Gandhi Memorial Vedic School, Shanya Jacob and Keran Seunarine

The funds were raised by the Arya Pratinidhi Sabha and students through fund-raising activities and personal contributions by the students.

The children told the Prime Minister the fund raising activities started shortly after the Hon. Prime Minister announced the formation of the fund last year. They intend to continue their activities and to make further contributions.
