Caribbean Airlines (CAL) is introducing a service from Toronto to Grenada twice a week, starting on December 15, 2011. The non-stop flights will operate on Thursdays and Sundays.
The flight from Toronto - BW608 - will stop in Grenada and then continue to Trinidad. On the return, BW 608 will make a stop in Grenada and then proceed to Pearson Airport in Toronto.
CAL's acting CEO Robert Corbie has described the new service as a natural progression for the airline since the introduction of its biweekly direct service between Grenada and New York about one year ago.
The airline also has a regular daily regional service that links Grenada with other destinations, with 24 weekly flights between Trinidad and Grenada. All its flights offer generous baggage allowances, meals and in flight entertainment in addition to its Caribbean Miles frequent flyer program.
Edwin Frank of the Grenada Tourist Board has welcomed the new service to Canada. "Plans to extend its provision of services to Grenada on a twice weekly basis from Toronto, Canada, is very good news," Frank said in a media release.

"Indeed Grenada’s tourism industry has benefitted remarkably due to the current reliable relationship that it has with Caribbean Airlines," he added.
The airline is already making booking for the new service.
