The director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has given instructions to authorities to charge four men with the murder of former Assistant Police Commissioner Cecil Carrington.
Two of the accused are scheduled to appear in court in Sangre Grande Thursday.
Carrington was shot and killed outside his Manzanilla hotel on January 19th 2011 and the murderers stole the former lawman's licensed .38 revolver.

Police spokesperson ASP Joanne Archie confirmed to reporters Wednesday that investigations were carried out by the Homicide Bureau, which led to the arrest of the four men.
She said three of the suspects are 19 years old and the fourth is 24 years old. Archie said more arrests and charges will follow in connection with the murder.
Carrington was a member of the now disbanded Flying Squad, which was led by the late Randolph Burroughts. He also served on the Anti-Kidnapping Squad, the North Eastern Division and the Criminal Intelligence Division.
