The chairman of the regional commuter airline, LIAT, has resigned as director and chairman of the board of LIAT. Dr. Jean Holder submitted his resignation to the Government of Barbados.
Holder spent 14 years in the diplomatic service and a further 30 years as the head of two regional organisations - the Caribbean Tourism Research and Development Centre and the Caribbean Tourism Organisation.

The government of Barbados appointed him to the board of LIAT in 2004.
In a media release Tuesday LIAT said Holder has confirmed his commitment to continue serving LIAT as chairman until the airline appoints his successor.
