Aron Duncan wins Chaguanas Junior Calypso Monarch title


Aron Duncan, who was crowned the NCC Junior Calypso Monarch on Monday, completed the double on Wednesday when he also captured the Chaguanas Junior Calypso Monarch title at Centre Point Mall, Chaguanas.

Duncan, singing “Kaiso Alive”, scored 340 points, five more than the second placed winner, Timel Rivas, the 2010 Chaguanas Monarch.

Duncan competed in the Primary Schools category.

In the Secondary Schools category, Raeann Guerra, singing “Our Mother’s Cry”, captured first place with 335 points. Four points behind was Tiffany Paul, with “Still Love the Child”.
