Find that killer Rambachan tells CoP Dwayne Gibbs

Foreign Affairs Minister Surujrattan Rambachan has urged Police Commissioner Dwayne Gibbs to pull out the stops to find the killer of eight-year-old Daniel Guerra.

Rambachan was the first government official to visit the family of the slain child. He is the parliamentary representative for the area. On Monday he accompanied the Prime Minister when she visted the family.

Speaking at a media briefing Monday to discuss security measures to protect visitiors for Carnival, Rambachan raised the matter with reporters.

"No matter the circumstances, the child is an innocent victim and this demands that no stone is left unturned in bringing justice to those responsible," he said. Rambachan said he left the family and was "feeling their pain".

The Tabaquite MP said, "Everything has to be, and must be done, to bring that perpetrator of that heinous crime to justice."
And he called on to ensure a greater police presence in Gasparillo and an improved service. The minister said he would like police to be more responsive. "And I would like to see a little more speed," he said.

Gibbs was at the media conference with Rambachan. He said the police service is working on developing a plan to create efficiency within the service. It includes boosting police morale, he said.
