COP launches 2011 J’Ouvert Band, “Is Meh Pardner Ship”

The Congress of the People on Saturday launched its 2011 J’Ouvert Band, “Is Meh Pardner Ship” at the Flagship House, 2 Broome St. Woodbrook Port of Spain.

Band Leaders, Erwin Hope and Kevan Gibbs, as well as Band Designers Alicia Sharpe and Marcus Ruiz presented 10 sections, costume designs, route, security arrangement and other details. Security will be provided by, Monisec Security. Managing Director is Mr. Neil Frederick.

This will be one of the events of part two of COP's Patriotic Series. The theme for the month of February is Arts and Culture. 

Chairman of the Patriotic Series, Senator Dr. Patrick Watson and COP Chairman, Joseph Toney were also present for the launch.

This year COP Leader, Winston Dookeran and other members of the leadership team will again be participating.
