Chaguanas launches its Carnival 2011 Sunday with a parade of traditional characters from Busy Corner to Market Square, starting at 5 p.m.
The MP for the area, Jack Warner, is hosting the event along with the borough of Chaguanas.
The official program begin at 6 p.m., about 20 minutes after the arrival of the parade at the market square venue.
The performances will incorporate all that is TT carnival including pan, calypso, chutney and much more. There will also be entertainment by JMC3Veni, comedian Errol Fabien who will offer a mix of humour and social commentary.
Multiculturalism minister Winston “Gypsy” Peters will deliver the feature address.
