Peter Clarke will meet with government officials Monday to make final arrangements for the state funeral for his father, Sir Ellis Clarke, who died on Decemeber 30 last year, two days after the country's first President celebrated his 93rd birthday.
A committee comprising officials from the Office of the Prime Minister, the National Security Ministry and the Foreign Affairs Ministry is making plans for the funeral, which is tentatively scheduled for Friday.
Clarke told the Trinidad Express when he meets with the committee one of the issues to be finalised will be where the body will lie in state. The national flag will continue to fly at half-mast in honour of Sir Ellis until his funeral.
