The Appeal Court gave notice Monday that it will announce its judgement on the Galbaransingh and Ferguson matter on December 17.
Businessmen Steve Ferguson and Ishwar Galbaransingh have asked the court to rule on the constitutionality of the 1985 extradition act through which they have been ordered deported to the United states to face dozens of fraud charges.
Both men have been indicted in Florida on charges relating to the construction of the terminal building at the Piarco international Airport.
The court will also determine if a High court Judge should examine the decision by Attorney General Anand Ramlogan to order the extradition.
Justice Vasheist Kokaram had dismissed the constitutional motion filed by both men challenging the legality of the Extradition Act. The two have also challenged the decision by Justice Joan Charles to refuse judicial review of the Attorney General’s decision to order their extradition.
Ramlogan signed the extradition warrants on October 9.
