Approximately 1,040,011 people are eligible to vote in Monday’s general election. In 2007 the figure was 993,051.
According to the Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC) there will be 2,156 polling stations with the highest number of voters - 28,364 - in Diego Martin West where Keith Rowley is defending his seat.
The smallest number - 20,424 - is in Tobago East, which was held by the PNM as well.
About 60 per cent of the electorate voted in 2007 but a higher turnout is expected in Monday's hotly contested election.
Polls will be open for 12 hours, from 6 in the morning.
The EBC says everything is in place for a smooth election. A 36-member Caricom observer team will monitor the vote.
