Letter: Happy anniversary to PP

In extending congratulations and best wishes to the People's Partnership on the attainment of its third anniversary in office, not much time will be used herein to increase the torrent of condemnation and pudency currently overwhelming theOpposition Leader consequent upon his ill-conceived, no-confidence motion.

Dr Rowley has once more amply demonstrated a singular affinity to silliness—without any help or warning, he continuously paints himself into a corner, then slinks away rather than face censure by a silken orator.

In the wee hours of May 25th 2010, when it was finally declared that the Partnership had defeated the People's National Movement, there were mixed feelings—sincere thanks to the Almighty for delivering the nation from bondage and unrestrained euphoria tempered by trepidation over the magnitude of the task ahead.

Given the extent of crap encountered when control of the Augean Stables was democratically given over to the Kamla administration and the extent of Opposition fulmination since then, May 24th and 25th 2013 certainly warrant devout thanksgiving and celebration, for, undoubtedly, it is The Hand of God which has guided and sustained the People's Partnership over the past thirty-six months as it tried its best to make Trinidad and Tobago think and act in unison.

Rome was not built in a day. Neither was Timbuktu, Mumbai nor Beijing. However, they were all established because their citizens downplayed their differences and promoted their common ties.

Having made it abundantly clear persons of Indian origin aren't welcome in Tobago, unless, starting today, the PNM starts atoning for dividing the nation, the PNM cannot be allowed any deciding say in shaping T&T's future.

A great way for the healing to begin would be by telling Kamaluddin Mohammed sorry and Hilton Sandy resigning from the THA.

Best wishes to People's Partnership! May its reign be long!
