The Office of the Prime said on Thursday Thursday 30th May and Friday 31st May, have been officially designated public holidays in Trinidad and Tobago.
It's because two public holiday come back to back - Indian Arrival Day and Corpus Christie fall on the same day.
According to the Public Holidays and Festivals Act Chapter 19:05 where a public holiday falls on a Sunday or where two public holidays fall on the same day, "the next following day that is not a public holiday shall be a public holiday”.
