The office of the Prime Minister announced a short while ago that Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar will will make a statement regarding the Presidential nomination at the Diplomatic Centre Media Room at 4:30pm.

The Prime Minister is having a busy day of discussions on the country's Fifth Head of State.
She met the official Opposition at 11:30 a.m. and was then scheduled to hold meetings with the executives of the coalition parties in the ruling administration.
She has a 2 p.m. meeting planned with all the Members of Parliament and Senators of the People's Partnership Government.
The Prime Minister's announcement is expected to be brief.
The Electoral College, comprised of members of both Houses of Parliament, must meet within the next month to elect the new Head of State.
CTV and Talk City's coverage would include analysis and a biographical sketch of the person who would serve as the President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago for the next five years.
