Roodal Moonilal told reporters on Tuesday it is time to move on and deal with issues other than the Section 34 proclamation issue. He said the country needs to focus a budget and other legislation.
Moonilal also stated that Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar had nothing to add to the debate on the issue.
The Housing Minister who is also the Leader of Government Business in the House of Representatives did not wish to prolong discussion on the issue, noting that Parliament spend 28 hours last week on the matter.

"We had debate on this and the AG spoke in both houses. I would have hoped that by now the matter would be rested. The Leader of the Opposition of course is leading a march and he will continue I am sure, because it is a political issue. But I am hoping that we can move on", Moonilal stated.
"We have the budget upon us in a few days. We have other important legislation," he noted.
