Foreign Affairs Minister Winston Dookeran signs a condolence book on the death of American Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three others killed in an attack on the US Embassy in Libya. In a statement Friday to U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Dookeran expressed deepest condolences to the families of the officials killed, and to the American people. Ambassador Chris Stevens and another American were killed in the consulate during the initial violence and two other Americans were killed in a separate attack. Dookeran condemned acts of violence against those who serve their country, and joined the international community in denouncing violence that threatens the principles of peace, tolerance and goodwill inherent in all faiths. |
