40 to compete in Calypso Monarch semi final Saturday

The state broadcaster, Caribbean New Media Group (CNMG), will broadcast the Calypso Monarch Semifinal on Saturday live on ctntworld.com and delayed on Talk City 91.1fm.

Forty calypsonians will perform in the show from which finalists will be selected to compete for the Calypso Monarch title against defending champion Karene Asche at the Dimanche Gras show on February 19 (Carnival Sunday). The first prize is $500,000.
