President Max Richards is scheduled to administer the oath of office Friday to Ken Gordon, who has been appointed the head the Integrity Commission.
Gordon will replace Eric St Cyr, who resigned earlier this month over a controversy involving Jerlean John, the chair person of UDeCOTT - the Urban development Corporation of Trinidad & Tobago.
Gordon is the chairman of the Economic Development Board (EDB) which falls under the Ministry of Planning and the Economy. He will have to give up that position to head the Integrity Commission.
According to the Integrity in Public Life Act: “A person shall not be qualified to hold office as a member of the Commission where he is a person in public life or a person exercising a public function or a person who is not a citizen of T&T.”
