Ryan told the Guardian newspaper he was surprised that Persad-Bissessar asked him to head the team.
He added that he has already had submitted a draft plan to Persad-Bissessar on how he thinks the team should proceed with its work.
However he declined to comment further. He said he prefers to wait until he gets feedback from the Prime Minister.
“There was an agreement in principle that I will undertake the exercise and I submitted a draft indicating how it should be done.
“I don’t think it would be appropriate to disclose the details of it at this point.”
Ryan also told the paper he cannot divulge information on who are the other members of the team.
