Jack Warner is acting as Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago from Sunday until Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar returns home from Monday's one-day visit to New York for meetings at the United Nations.
It's the fifth time that Warner has held the acting post during the absence of the Prime Minister.
Persad-Bissessar is participating in the 66th Regular Session of the United Nations General Assembly and will attend other meetings as well.

Warner told reporters, “I feel honoured that the Prime Minister has placed this confidence in me once again. It is not the first time I have acted. The fact that I have acted five times suggest that the Prime Minister is pleased with my performance.”
