Attorneys for Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Suruj Rambachan have sent a pre-action protocol letter to the Trinidad Guardian newspaper threatening legal action over an article in the paper about the qualification of the minister.
The attorneys are demanding an apology for an article the paper published regarding Der Rambachan's PhD. The minister has refuted claims made in the article.
And he is seeking damages for injury to his reputation caused by the article.
