The Congress of the People (COP) has issued a notice advising that only persons whose names are registered as bona fide in the Party's Membership Database at January 3rd, 2011 are eligible to vote in the internal election.
COP will elect its new leader in a one-member, one-vote system on July 3. Four candidates are running for election, two of whom are cabinet ministers in the People's Partnership government.
In a media release COP said persons with Membership Cards must check at the official centres below to verify that their names are included on the Voters' List. The party said having a membership card alone does not guarantee that a person can vote.
