PNM statement on the passing of Ken valley

From Keith Rowley, political leader:

Kenneth Valley was a distinguished citizen who exemplified the qualities of loyalty and dedication.

He started his public career as a public servant in the Ministry of Finance and eventually became a hard working minister in the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

He also served in the opposition where he contributed significantly to the rebuilding of the People's National Movement (PNM) and made significant contributions to the establishment of policies and programmes which were effected by the party and government.

Mr. Valley's passing comes as a great loss to me personally as he was always a trusted friend and reliable colleague. He was a great servant of the PNM and on behalf of the leadership and members of the party I extend my deepest sympathy to the Valley family who provided him with unstinting support during his period of public service and more particulalry during his recent illness.

The people of Trinidad and Tobago owe Kenneth Valley a debt of gratitude for the remarkable contribution he made on behalf of all our citizens.May he rest in peace.

From the PNM:

The People's National Movement joins the national community in mourning the passing of Mr. Kenneth Valley, former MP for Diego Martin Central and former Deputy Political Leader - Legislative.

We wish to place on record our gratitude for the sterling contribution he has made to the development of our party and of our nation.

To his family, thank you for sharing him with us over the years. May he rest in Peace.
