Crown Point Airport becomes ANR International Airport Thursday

Tobago's favourite son Arthur N.R. Robinson will be honoured Thursday when the government of Trinidad and Tobago and the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) rename the Crown Point International Airport the ANR International Airport.

The ceremony begins at two in the afternoon at the Tobago airport. Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar will deliver the Feature Address.

Robinson is the first native of Tobago to have the honour of being Prime Minister and also President of Trinidad and Tobago. No other person has ever held both posts.

Robinson is expected to be present for the ceremony.

The airport event is one of several government activities taking place in Tobago Thursday. The cabinet will be holding its regular meeting there.
