Letter: Rowley's comments uninformed

I find these comments by Dr Rowley offensive, uninformed and lacking proper comprehension of nationalistic development. 

T&T can only afford to give aid to its neighbours in these times of economic limitations with these very conditions imposed. 

It's a system of global protectionism adopted by all major superpowers to ensure their own economic survival while maintaining a humanitarian balance. 

The reality is that if the former PNM regime had adopted this policy rather than out and out aid at the expense of our own citizens, we may have had more to freely give. 

Our Government knows what it best of the the people and our economy. Time for Rowley to apologise for this ridiculous statement as well.
