Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar leaves for London Monday to attend a meeting of the Commonwealth Economic Partnership Forum, which is scheduled for October 13 to 14.
She is attending in her capacity as current Chair of the Commonwealth at the invitation of Dr Mohan Kaul, Director-General of the Commonwealth Business Council.

Her delegation includes Foreign Minister Dr Suruj Rambachan, Minister of Trade and Industry Stephen Cadiz and Norris Herbert, Director of Trade.
Representatives of the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce, and the Energy Chamber will be joining the Prime Minister and her delegation in London.
Both organisations are sending supporting missions at their own expense.
The Prime Minister will address the opening session of the Forum, and participate in its business deliberations over the two days involved.
She will also meet with nationals of Trinidad and Tobago in the UK. That meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 12 at Chelsea Old Town Hall, starting at 7 p.m.
The Prime Minister will also meet with representatives of other business interests desirous of pursuing investment opportunities with Trinidad and Tobago.
The agenda for the CEPF includes a re-assessment of the economic potential of the Commonwealth in light of the global financial crisis.
Others attending the conference include two members of the G8 group of industrialised countries and five of the G20 countries, 18 African countries and major clusters in East Asia and the Caribbean.
The Prime Minister considers participation in this forum promises as an opportunity to engender new and lucrative trade and investment arrangements for the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
The Prime Minister and the expanded Trinidad and Tobago delegation will also be seeking to identify areas of action, to exploit possible benefits of intensifying economic co-operation in relation to trade and investment, within the Commonwealth.
Prior to her departure to London, Persad-Bissessar will hand out laptop computers to first form students at three high schools in Tobago. During her absence, Tobago development Minister Vernella Alleyne-Toppin will act as Prime Minister.
