Soca Princesses beat Chile 2-1 as FIFA women's U-17 opens in POS


Thousand of fans, including Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar and Works Minister and FIFA vice-president Jack Warner, watched Trinidad and Tobago score an important 2-1 victory Sunday against Chile on the opening day of the FIFA Women's under-17 championship at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain.

Warner was responsible for hiring Norwegian Even Pellerud to coach the national team for the current tournament. DIARRA SIMMONS and Liana Hinds scored for the home team for the historic victory.
