Kamaluddin "Charch" Mohammed finally got Trinidad and Tobago's highest national award for service to the country. He had been nominated several times during the Manning administration but was rejected each time.
Charch did not want to comment on why he was denied the award. However he was happy to finally receive it. “Ten years is a long time. I don’t know what happened but thanks to the present PM and the government. I am grateful for the honour,” he told reporters.
