The 57 were originally named in a statement of claim in an affidavit filed at the High Court on February 6, 2006. A total of 114 members of the Jamaat took part in the uprising.
On Tuesday the State auctioned properties owned by Bakr in a moved to settle a $42 million debt but was only able to recover $5.2 million from the sale.
Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar said in reaction to the auction that she was "satisfied" with the sale and indicated that efforts will be made to recover the rest of the outstanding debt.
Special Prosecutor Dana Seetahal is looking after the matter.
One of the people who is named is Jamal Shabazz, head coach of this country's national Under-20 women's football team. He told the Trinidad Express Thursday he is leaving the matter in the hands of God.
"Ms Dana Seetahal could have her say in her courts and almighty God will have his say in his court. And in the end we will see which power is more powerful than God," Shabazz said.
