Two Hindu priests on Wednesday called on the Trinidad and Tobago government to hang murderers.
They were officiating at separate funerals for fishermen Krishna Apoo and Motilal Ramkhelwan who were murdered last week.
Pandits Ravi Maharaj and Ganpat Maharaj both demanded Government action against "monsters" who prey on innocent, decent citizens.
“It seems people have no value for human life. This world is so harsh and cruel but we must love one another," Pundit Ravi said.
“Let us bring our people closer to God. Government cannot do it alone. We have to love our children and take them to the church, temple and mosque with us. We have to build character from home,” the priest said.
Pandit Ganpat urged the killers to surrender their guns and turn to God.
