Dwayne Gibbs is in Trinidad to negotiate a compensation package and terms of employment as the new Trinidad and Tobago Commissioner of Police (CoP).
Government recently approved the appointment of the Canadian, who is based in Edmonton, Alberta.Gibbs 58, is a retired Superintendent of Police.
On Monday he is scheduled to meet with the Director of Personnel Administration to firm up his remuneration package. He will also meet with Attorney General Anand Ramlogan and National Security Minister Brigadier John Sandy for discussions on anti-crime measures for Trinidad and Tobago.
Gibbs has told JYOTI he is anxious to get to work in Trinidad and Tobago.
