Letter: AG's style good for T&T

There as some who, for reasons patently or not yet clear, believe that Anand Ramlogan must tone down his rhetoric regarding ringing in justice, now that he holds high office as Attorney-General.

To those Anti-Anand-ji's respond I, "Hell, no!"

My justification is that, among other things, it's precisely for his delivery style that the good Prime Minister saw fit to select him for the post he now holds - a post which all peace-loving, law-abiding citizens, then some, hope and pray he'd have till the cows come home.

Anti-Anand-ji's seem conveniently to have forgotten - if at all they ever knew - that, as if by design of the other political force just defenestrated, Trinidad and Tobago has been moulded into a country where all things good, fit and proper are relegated to a cowering place, while all things obstreperously, obnoxiously and odiously malevolent are permitted free rein to wreak havoc ad nauseam.

Anti-Anand-ji's seem conveniently to have forgotten - if at all they ever knew - the tale of the cleaning of the Augean stables, else they'd understand that what now confronts the new administration is a task as Gargantuan as that which confronted Hercules when first he fully grasped the scope of his Fifth Labour.

Anti-Anand-ji's seem conveniently to have forgotten - if at all they ever knew - that, because of his impressive track record and icon-shattering ways, those many thousands and thousands of us who put the new administration in office so did with full expectation that Anand-ji would've been appointed to lead the charge for making the law thenceforth work in favour of justice rather than just for the privileged few.

Anti-Anand-ji's seem conveniently to have forgotten - if at all they ever knew - that evil abounds only when good men and women do or say nothing.

The message is clear! The old ways - and those who engineered and sustained them - are now banished, Thank God!

There's a huge backlog of filth waiting to be cleared before the good people of Trinidad and Tobago may exhale!

The required "Clean and Beautify Trinidad and Tobago" exercise began, not on June 27th last, rather, one month before - on May 26th - when, shortly after Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar was appointed, Anand-ji was sworn in as Attorney-General.

Anand-ji rhetoric must peal as loud and clear; and wherever and as often as Hays and Seeger of their bell intended - in the morning, in the evening, all over this land!

For that's the only way justice, freedom and love may descend upon to this land.
